what did they do?
the French government buys and declares the daguerreotype free to the world. Also when cool stuff starts happening like the first photo of a human although this exposure lasted around 7 minutes. A man was getting his shoes polished and was standing perfectly still thus making history this was also the first photo with sol. Of course the worlds first selfie was taken by a guy named Robert Cornelius. It did not take long fro nude photography to kick off.
Date: 1840
Name: Henry Foxtalbot
what did he do?
he unveils the calotype, a process based on negatives that allows fro paper copies to be made, however Talbot try to charge license fees for the calotype so it didn't really catch on compared to Daguerre whose name is now one of 72 name inscribed on the Eiffel tower. Talbot spent his life fighting law suites and eventually gave upon photography. you could say Talbot became a big native in the end. It is also important to mention the contribution of sirJohn herschel who published many essential research papers in coined the term photography from the greek of light in drawing.
Date: 1861
what happened?
mobile photo studios were all the orange because photos had to be Deve;oped on site. exposure time was about three minutes long so people use weak braces and drugs to keep still. it is also why nobody smiled in early photos.
Date: 1861
What happened?
what could be the worlds first photoshop occurs. the head of the Abraham Lincoln is placed on a more Nobel body. the worlds first colour photograph is also produced, its of a bow.
Date: 1878
Name: Richard Leach maddox
what did he do?
He invented the gelatine dry plate this means smaller cameras and no tripods necessary great successful chap.
Date: 1878
Name: Englishman Edward
what did he do?
He set up twelve cameras with wire triggers in the path of a galloping horse. the worlds first photo sequence proves that they do take all 4 leg off the ground.
Date:1885
Name: George Eastman
What did he do?
He is the founder of Eastman Kodak which he invented the roll film the first hand held camera, the Kodak goes on sale in 1888. Why "Kodak" because Eastman just liked the letter"K". the Kodak came preloaded with a hundred exposures that needed to be sent back to the factory for processing and reloading. when the Roll was finished Eastman takes mass-market photography a step further in the early 1900s with the brownie and affordable box camera that introduces the concept f the snapshot lights.
Date: 1925
Name: Oscar Barnack
what did he do?
He built the revolutionary 35 millimetre Alecia on which goes into production in 1925 the camera allows photographers to go mobile and capture the moment some of the most iconic images the first single lens reflex SLR camera is created from a scan in 1957n, however little later in 1975.
Date: 1975
Name: Steve sasson
what did he do?
A young engineer working for Eastman Kodak invents the first digital camera, but nobody at Kodak was interested in digital. who wants to see their photos on a TV, why change the profitable film photography formula. Too late Kodak only later switches to digital in 2004 and files for bankruptcy in 2012.

shutter speed
Shutter speed is the time of exposure that the photo has to light. If it has too much exposure it will look really bright and will have a bright white spot in the middle this is called overexposure. If the photo has too little exposure to the light it will be very dark and will not show the nice bright colours that you have of you this is called underexposure.
camera obscura
Camera obscura, ancestor of the photographic camera. The Latin name means “dark chamber,” and the earliest versions, dating to antiquity, consisted of small darkened rooms with light admitted through a single tiny hole. The result was that an inverted image of the outside scene was cast on the opposite wall, which was usually whitened. For centuries the technique was used for viewing eclipses of the Sun without endangering the eyes and, by the 16th century, as an aid to drawing; the subject was posed outside and the image reflected on a piece of drawing paper for the artist to trace. Portable versions were built, followed by smaller and even pocket models; the interior of the box was painted black and the image reflected by an angled mirror so that it could be viewed right side up.

front1.Shutter Button-Press the Button to release the shutter.2. Red eye reduction- When you set a timer on the camera this will flash until the photo is taken. 3. Lens mount- This is the section that connects the interchangeable lens to the camera body.4. Lens mount index- Align the marks on the lens with this mark on the camera body when you Arte attaching and detaching the lens.5. Lens release button- Press this button when you want to detach the lens.6. Mirror- the mirror is unique to a DSLR camera. it reflects light from the lens into the viewfinder, which lets photographers see the shot through the viewfinder inn real time.7. Microphone- this is a built-in microphone for capturing the audio sound during movie recording.8.Built in flash-When needed, you can fire the flash to capture a shot in a dimly-lit scene. The flash may be automatically fired in some modes.

top1. Focus Mode Switch- Use this switch to set the focusing mode to Automatic (AF) or Manual (MF).2. Speaker- Audio sound of a recorded movie can be played back through the speaker. During movie playback, turning the Main Dial allows you to adjust the volume level.3. Strap Mount- Pull the end of the strap through the eyelet, and secure it firmly while ensuring that the two ends of the strap are well-balanced.4. Hot Shoe- This is a terminal for attaching external flash units. Data is transmitted between the camera and the flash unit through the contacts.5. Power Switch- Use this switch to power on or power off the camera.6. Mode Dial- Turn this dial to select a shooting mode according to the scene you want to capture.7. Flash Button- Use this button to pop up the built-in flash. In the Basic Zone, the built-in flash may pop up automatically in some cases according to the function in use.8. Main Dial- This is a multi-purpose dial that allows you to perform tasks such as adjusting the value of the shooting settings (usually aperture/shutter speed/exposure compensation) 9. Zoom Ring- Turn the zoom ring to alter the focal length. The selected focal length can be identified from the numbers and index marks at the lower end of the lens10. Focus Ring- When the camera is in the Manual Focus (MF) mode, turn this ring to adjust the focus.

these are some that i took
The photos above are some that I took but I didn't think were very good because they do not meet the success criteria. Some were too blurry and some you were not able to tell what he was doing. Although the ones below look alot better and are so much clear on what he is doing for example on the right he is pushing the cart
How I did it?
I started off choosing a background that looked good and finding things to do. For example, in the two photos on the top left he is pushing a trolley. I took all of the photos with the shutter speed of around 1/200th- 1/300th of a second. I did this so that I could capture the picture in the frame while he was in the air. The best time to take a levitation photo is when they are at the highest point of the jump. so that this makes it look like he is hovering around as if he was walking.

Francesca Woodman
These are some of the photos that she took. She made them by moving while taking the photo and setting the camera to a slower shutter speed. She is famous for creating ghost-like images where the subject is blurred against a sharp background. Woodman is the main subject in her photographs and her work is incredibly emotive particularly when you discover that she committed suicide at the age of 27.
Francesca woodman intended to make the photograph look like there was a ghost. She did this by having a long exposure and have the person to move to make it bleur but there are so parts of the body that are still and do not get blurry. That there was a ghost and she wanted us to feel scared.Woodman wanted to show Woodman wanted to ‘show you what you do not see – the body’s inner force. This is shown by the movement of the person in the photo and how you can see through the person. She wanted to explore the thoughts that she was going through and express the feeling she was going through.Woodman useda slow shutter speed and a long exposure while the person was in movement to create this work. This helped her to create the effect of ghosts and the effect of fast movement. This helps to support her intention of horror and the scary feel that a place is haunted.
I like Woodman's work and how it was well captured in the photo. I think that I did similar photos in that I got the background semi focused but some of them are blurred otherwise I think I did quite well.
I think that next time I could have had a tripod to hold the camera still so that the background of each photo is still and then I can get the movement part blurred.

Composition
Composition is how the elements of a photo are arranged. A composition can be made up of many different elements, or only a few. It's how the artist puts those things within a frame that help a photograph become more or less interesting to the viewer.
Aperture
Aperture can be defined as the opening in a lens through which light passes to enter the camera. It is expressed in f-numbers like f/5.6, f/36 are the two numbers that I used and so on to express the size of the lens opening. It is measured "f" numbers
A large f.number means the hole is smaller. A small f. number means a larger hole. Depth of field is how far you can see before it gets blurry. For example, the left one has a small depth of field because it gets blurry after the first person and the right one has a large depth of field because everyone is in focus.

Rule of Thirds
What is the rule of thirds?
The rule of thirds describes a basic compositional structure of a photograph. Taking any image, you can split it into 9 segments by using 3 vertical and 3 horizontal lines. The rule indicates that you should place key elements of your scene at one or more of these areas in a photo.

Making Gifs
Here are some he has done
In the photo on the right he has also used levitation in it. but the other one looks like there is infinite water coming from her coat so it also looks like her coat is made of water.mine are just the movement of the head.but his are more technical and are harder to make.
I made this gif by taking 6 photographs of my head moving around the I uploaded them to my computer.after that I put them in photoshop to put them together in an animation. After that I saved it to my weekly and uploaded it.
Romain Laurent is a french photographer and director, born in the Alps, and currently based in New York City.
He studied product design at the ENSAAMA, National School of Applied Arts and then discovered photography was a much better way to show people his ideas. So he went on to study that field at Gobelins in Paris.
